Kung Fu Hustle

I went to see Kung Fu Hustle with my friends today. It is the first weekend it went nationwide. It did really well the past two weekends at LA (grossing at 35k per theater per weekend). I am actually amazed that the american audience liked it very much. Even I enjoyed it more this time than in China because of a better audience at Shattuck Cinema I think. Chinese people don't laugh (out loud) at the movie theaters, which makes me very embarrassed if I do. That is why I did not enjoy it as much as I could have.

Going back to the apt, we made Pasta with eggplants and shrimp! I was so genius that without reading a single recipe, I made the right decisions. Cook the onions and eggplants first, add some water so that they eggplants will be completely cooked. Then add the peppers and shrimps. Geez, I should there are cooking classes at Berkeley. I'd def. take them. I read an article today that IT people's retiring age is at 35, meaning nobody is gonna hire you for technical jobs after that age. Sigh, maybe I should go to a culinary school and become a chef. That'd be awesome.

Oh, have I told you I went karaoke again? Second friday in a row!
